Ephesia Consult uses the most advanced technologies to find solutions for its clients’ specific needs. In addition to providing trainings, Ephesia Consult members are active research authors, usually in collaboration with external experts, universities or research institutions. Publications are regularly made in scientific journals or presented at international conferences. Some of Ephesia Consult members are founding and/or active members of the geoENVia association which is at the origin of the biannual geoENV conferences. Members of Ephesia Consult also regularly intervene as supervisors or jury members of PhD theses.
The most recent and relevant subjects are (non-exhaustive list):
- Development of an integrated geostatistical methodology for estimating and mapping contaminated soil volumes.
- Development of a non-geostatistical methodology for computing contaminated soil volumes when no spatial correlation can be identified.
- Assistance to the development of a sampling protocol for measuring landfill gas emissions.
- Development of a geostatistical methodology for mapping and estimating landfill gas emissions at the landfill scale.
- Assistance to the development of a metadata base for the administration (Department of Environment and Agriculture, Walloon Region, Belgium) and methodological research on the concept of data quality.
